Our Wedding and How We Met

How We Met

Brandon and Elise met in a singles ward in Madison, WI. Brandon left Idaho at the very beginning of 2004 to begin his masters and PhD program at the University of Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Elise was in the middle of her undergraduate degree at the same university. The two were both named "Family Home Evening Parents" for the singles ward. Brandon knew right away he wanted to snag Elise and, with a little persistence, he managed just that!

Our Wedding

Brandon and Elise were married on December 30, 2005 in the Idaho Falls, ID temple. Before that, though...

When Brandon proposed to Elise, they were both in college in Wisconsin. Brandon spread rose petals all over Elise's room before proposing in April of 2005.

At the Wedding Shower, Elise had a very "special" Wisconsin experience. She was gifted a bridal Cheesehead to wear while opening presents.

The day Elise and Brandon wed was mild and snowy--the first snowy day in several days of unseasonably warm weather. It was beautiful!

Elise's mom made the wedding cake and the groom's cake.

See the groom's cake? Brandon really likes to hunt, so Elise had to drag him away (just kidding, of course). Actually, Brandon went hunting the morning of the wedding--he said, "most guys golf on their wedding day, I hunt."
